i cut myself, i dont know why i do it, maybe for attention. it pisses me off when my parents barely notice, its like they dont care. everytime i think of it, it makes me want to cut myself even more.

as a father of a teen who cuts i can tell you that most likely they don't say anything about it because they don't have a clue what to say or do. it is so unbelievable to someone who doesn't do it that they are just dumbfounded. you need to sit one or both of them down, tell them what has been going on and that you want them to help you find some help. you need to find a counselor that you can meet with that can help you understand the stresses in your life that are causing you to do this. when you can understand what is causing it you can work on dealing with the stresses in a more productive way and stop doing this.

please ask for help, it is out there.

my daughter use to do that too... after getting to know a family friend... in fact she did everything that girl did... turns out they both suffer from depression. its not anything but the right thing to do... talk with a psychologist or psychaiatrist, you might have symptons of depression or other things... get help before it gets worse for you. you need to understand it as well as your family/friends.
